Our Credentials

Better compliance management means direct source reporting, quality control, and the highest level of security and data protection. American DataBank is FCRA, PCI, and HIPAA compliant, and is a founding and accredited member of PBSA.

FCRA Compliance

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) serves to protect consumers from inaccurate information in their credit reports and has resulted in countless lawsuits against agencies that report out non-compliant consumer information. American DataBank saves you time and pain by tracking recently published cases to help you avoid legal issues that could hurt your organization.

HIPAA Compliance

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) was created partly to keep individuals’ health information private. HIPAA violations can cause severe damage to your organization, regardless of an action’s intent. American DataBank closely tracks and monitors federal court decisions enforced by the US Department of Health & Human Services Office for Civil Rights to ensure that we’re aware of any changes in HIPAA law that may affect your organization.

PBSA Accreditation

The Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) is the country’s largest and most recognized trade association for the background screening industry. Accreditation from the PBSA demonstrates that a background screener meets the highest standard of professionalism and FCRA compliance in the industry. Only 15% of companies in the industry have met the requirements necessary for this distinction. ADB is a founding member of the PBSA and has achieved the highest level of accreditation offered by the PBSA. Additionally, ADB  is compliant with all necessary privacy and security regulations and procedures, to prevent potential disasters that other companies may overlook.

BBB Accreditation

American DataBank has been a BBB accredited organization since 2005. Select businesses earn BBB accreditation by undergoing a thorough evaluation and upholding the BBB Code of Business Practices.

ADB currently has an A+ rating, determined by factors such as time in business, transparent business practices, and complaint volume and resolution. American DataBank strives to maintain the highest standards in terms of ethical business practices. One of our driving principles is to make decisions that reflect a reverence for long-term relationships.

In addition, American DataBank has been a recipient of the BBB Gold Star Award, demonstrating outstanding commitment to fair, honest, and ethical practices. Each organization goes through a meticulous application process to illustrate its commitment to ethics and community leadership. The examination process consists of the measurement of an organization’s ethical standards and practices, long-standing reputation, marketing, advertising, and management practices. Only companies that go “above-and-beyond” are considered for this prestigious award.

PCI-DSS Compliance

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) is a standard used by companies that handle credit and debit cards to ensure the security of those giving payment card information to another party. In order to ensure your privacy and security, ADB complies with all PCI-DSS data security requirements for credit card transactions.

Insurance Coverage

American DataBank maintains high levels of Cyber insurance and Errors & Omissions insurance. Cyber insurance protects ABD in the event of issues surrounding network security, privacy protection, or data breaches. The insurance coverage ensures the protection of your interests and the services you receive from American DataBank.

Equifax Security Risk Assessment

Equifax Inc. is an American multinational consumer credit reporting agency and is one of the three largest consumer credit reporting agencies. In order to continue offering some of the screening services that we provide, we underwent their Equifax Security Risk Assessment. As our security standards maintain high, we passed this assessment with flying colors.
